Plain-language summary. We make mobile games. To run and improve them we use limited device and gameplay data, and we work with trusted advertising and analytics partners. We don’t sell your personal information. You can control ad tracking on your device and contact us any time to exercise your privacy rights.
This Privacy Policy explains how Dopo Studios (“Dopo Studios”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use our mobile games, our website at dopostudios.com, and related services (together, the “Services”). Dopo Studios is a games brand of Dopo Technologies, S.A.P.I. de C.V., the company that operates dopo.mx.
By using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Dopo Studios, a games brand of Dopo Technologies, S.A.P.I. de C.V. (the parent company that operates dopo.mx), is the data controller responsible for your personal information in connection with the Services. Where we act as a publisher for third-party developers, we and the developer may be joint or independent controllers for a given game; the in-game privacy notice will identify the parties involved.
You can reach us at hola@dopostudios.com. Our parent company can be reached at hola@dopo.mx.
We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. Depending on the game and your settings, we may collect:
When you make an in-app purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple or Google. We receive confirmation of the purchase but do not receive or store your full payment card details.
We use the information above to:
Legal bases (EEA/UK). Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to run the game you use), our legitimate interests (to secure, analyze and improve the Services), your consent (for personalized advertising and certain analytics), and compliance with legal obligations.
Many of our games are free and supported by advertising. We and our partners may use advertising identifiers and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized advertising where permitted.
We work with third-party ad networks, mediation platforms and analytics providers, which may include services such as Google AdMob, Unity Ads, AppLovin, ironSource, Meta Audience Network, Firebase and similar providers. These partners process data under their own privacy policies.
If you opt out of personalized ads, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as follows:
Some data sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under certain U.S. state laws. See Section 8 for how to opt out.
Our games are directed to a general audience and are not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for the purpose of behavioral advertising.
Where a specific game is designed to be appropriate for children, we apply child-directed treatment in line with COPPA, the GDPR and Google Play’s and Apple’s families policies — including serving only non-personalized, age-appropriate ads and limiting data collection. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at hola@dopostudios.com and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent.
You may exercise the rights above and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
You may request access to or deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email hola@dopostudios.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law.
Because our parent company, Dopo Technologies, S.A.P.I. de C.V., operates under Mexican law, our processing of personal data is also governed by the Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares (LFPDPPP) and its regulations. You have the rights of access, rectification, cancellation and objection (the “ARCO” rights), as well as the right to revoke your consent and to limit the use or disclosure of your data. You may also file a complaint with the Instituto Nacional de Transparencia, Acceso a la Información y Protección de Datos Personales (INAI). To exercise these rights, email hola@dopostudios.com.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Aggregated or de-identified data, which cannot reasonably identify you, may be kept for longer.
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We operate globally and may process information in countries other than your own, including Mexico, where our parent company is established. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where required, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
